With brilliant battle sequences and hilarious one liners courtesy of Jack Black, the Kung Fu Panda sequel ups the ante of the last, filling in the blanks of hitherto unanswered questions and making us love the characters even more.

Who's in it? Angelina Jolie, Gary Oldman, Seth Rogen, Jack Black

The plot Po is now the Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace along with his friends and fellow kung fu masters, the Furious Five. But Po's new life is challenged by the appearance of a villainous snow leopard, who plans to use a secret weapon to conquer China and destroy the art of kung fu, meaning Po must look into his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins, in order to release the strength he needs to beat the baddie.

What we liked This installment looks just as great as the first flick, with all the quality you'd expect from the DreamWorks studio. With brilliant battle sequences and hilarious one liners courtesy of Jack Black, this sequel ups the ante of the last, filling in the blanks of hitherto unanswered questions and making us love the characters even more. Jolie adds more life to her role, with Black showing some dramatic flair.

What we didn't like There's nothing here that we have to complain about, but it would have been cool if there had been some bigger fight scenes.

e+ says This animated treat is perfect for kids, and won't bore mum and dad either. A definite must-see!
