Ajman teenager's hand chopped off in fight

Group of youngsters attack him and another boy with swords and knives

Ajman: An Emirati teenager's hand was chopped off when a group of youngsters attacked him and another boy with swords and knives on Tuesday night.

The other boy, also an Emirati, suffered severe stab wounds on the leg.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of Ajman Police, the fight started when a teenager slapped another and "dared him to complain".

"The other boy came back with a group armed with swords and knives and they chopped off the hand of the boy who slapped him, and stabbed the other on his leg," he said.

The victims were admitted to Khalifa Hospital. Police have arrested the suspects and an investigation is under way.
